Promoting access through Advocacy, Community, and Education
ASL OWL was founded to assist interpreters in their pursuit of Tenet 2.0 of the RID-NAD Code of Professional Conduct. We support interpreters as they gain professional skills and knowledge for the variety of interpreting situations they will encounter in the real world.
ASL A.C.E., a public charity with 501 (c) (3) status, is our parent organization. A.C.E. Stands for Advocacy, Community, and Education. ASL OWL represents the education portion of the organization.
ALL the proceeds earned via ASL OWL go right back into the organization to keep it running. Registration fees cover the cost of presenters, interpreters who coordinate the workshops, and financial/website fees. This is an organization founded and run by sign language interpreters for the interpreting community. Ultimately, we want to see the interpreting community improve their skills so we can all serve the Deaf and HoH community to the highest quality achievable. We are a people-first oriented organization, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
